A Scandalous Bridgerton Tea: The Ton's Most Talked About Tea

Dearest Gentle Reader,

It is said that no secret survives a shared pot of tea.

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, society shall gather at 12:00 pm- an hour most suitable for indulgence and intrigue for an afternoon tea nestled within the storied halls of Science Hill - a distinguished girls’ school of the nineteenth century
where young women traveled in horse and buggy from around the country to be taught refinement, intellect, and the confidence to lead.

Today, that legacy continues as women gather once more to pause, to connect, and to savor an afternoon devoted to conversation, elegance, and whispers—
some delightfully scandalous—worth repeating.

Guests will delight in gleaming fine china, and a most tempting spread— freshly baked scones accompanied by rich clotted cream and seasonal fruit preserves, alongside delicate tea sandwiches and elegant sweets.  Premium loose-leaf tea shall flow freely from polished silver teapots, as conversations linger and scandalous whispers take flight.

One can only imagine the whispers that once echoed through these halls— and the new ones sure to be exchanged over tea. Laughter will linger, secrets will flutter, and one suspects the final cup shall be set down far too soon.

Regency-inspired attire is most welcome, but not required, for one never knows who might be observing from across the room.  A lighthearted touch of tea etiquette will be included—just enough to keep things delightfully proper.

One would be most unwise to miss such a gathering.

Wakefield Scearce Gallery opens at 10 am and remains open until 4 pm.  Check in for this tea event begins at 11:30 am and tea service will begin promptly at noon.   Guests can arrive early and/or stay after the afternoon tea service to tour the historically preserved grounds, decorated rooms, displays, and gift shop.   

Seats are limited—advance ticket purchase is required.

*Guests will be seated together to fill tables of up to 8.  To ensure you are seated together with your group we ask that all tickets in your group be purchased on the same order.  If you need to be seated with individuals who placed a different order, please contact Kimberlyhinkel@yahoo.com or (502) 381-9023 and we will do our best to accommodate your seating request.  

Tickets are non-refundable but we understand emergencies happen and we will gladly allow the transfer of your ticket to someone else. 

There is free parking behind the gallery and free public parking lots close by.  Free street parking is also available.
