A Mother’s Day Tea: Celebrating Tea-riffic Moms - SOLD OUT

💐 This Mother’s Day Tea is an elegant and heartwarming experience designed to slow down, connect, and celebrate tea-riffic moms in style.  Join us Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Wakefield-Scearce Gallery in Shelbyville, Kentucky, for a beautifully curated afternoon honoring the women who pour love into every part of our lives.

Guests will enjoy a traditional afternoon tea service featuring premium loose-leaf teas, delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and an assortment of sweet treats—thoughtfully prepared and served with care. Surrounded by spring florals, vintage charm, and warm conversation, this tea is the perfect way to create meaningful Mother’s Day memories.  

Guests will dine in the historic dining hall of Science Hill, an iconic all-girls school founded in the 1800s and now home to the Wakefield-Scearce Gallery. This timeless setting—where generations of young women once gathered to learn, connect, and grow—provides a meaningful and elegant backdrop to honor the women who have shaped our lives.

The Gallery opens at 10 am; check in begins at 10:30 am and tea service will begin promptly at 11:00 am.  The gallery will remain open until 4 pm providing you an opportunity to tour the historically preserved grounds, decorated rooms, displays, and gift shop.   

Seats are limited—advance ticket purchase is required.

*Guests will be seated together to fill tables of up to 8.  To ensure you are seated together with your group we ask that all tickets in your group be purchased on the same order.  If you need to be seated with individuals who placed a different order, please contact Kimberlyhinkel@yahoo.com or (502) 381-9023 and we will do our best to accommodate your seating request.  

Tickets are non-refundable but we understand emergencies happen and we will gladly allow the transfer of your ticket to someone else. 

There is free parking behind the gallery and free public parking lots close by.  Free street parking is also available.
